Climate Change Activist Admits: Being Green "Requires the End of Capitalism"

Climate Change Activist Admits: Being Green "Requires the End of Capitalism"

03/22/2019

Well, at least they're now being honest about it. A headline this week in The Guardian reads: "Ending climate change requires the end of capitalism. Have we got the stomach for it?"
The article, by Phil McDuff, goes on the discuss the "Green New Deal" currently being peddled in the US Congress, and declares a radical turn toward socialism is really at the heart of saving the planet from climate change:

The radical economics isn’t a hidden clause, but a headline feature. Climate change is the result of our current economic and industrial system. GND-style proposals marry sweeping environmental policy changes with broader socialist reforms because the level of disruption required to keep us at a temperature anywhere below “absolutely catastrophic” is fundamentally, on a deep structural level, incompatible with the status quo.

I had the distinct honor of presenting from the main stage at the 2019 Nelson Nash Institute "Think Tank Symposium" for Authorized IBC Practitioners and their guests on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. My talk focused on Austrian Capital Theory as the founder of the Austrian School of Economics writes about it in his virtually unknown 1888 article "Zur Theorie des Kapitals." I'm introduced by Dr. Robert Murphy. I explain that Menger (1888) conceives of capital as a monetary, abstract, homogenous concept, in contrast to the heterogeneous, physical idea commonly attributed to him in contemporary Austrian Economics. I apply Menger's notion of capital to financial strategy in order to lay out what I believe is a distinctly "Austrian" approach to personal (and commercial) financial theory. Though most economists want their ideas adopted by politicians and bureaucrats, the ideas I present in this talk are best suited for adoption by the free and independent individual. If capital is distinct and important (which, if we are to believe Menger, it is), then our financial strategies and advice should directly address it. In particular, we should ask, "what is the best way to build and use capital?" Financial strategies -- including investment strategies -- that do not address this question are severely incomplete. Unfortunately, this is the state of affairs throughout the vast majority of the conventional financial advising industry. For a genuine alternative to mainstream financial advice, for a financial strategy that directly confronts the individual's "need for finance," as Nelson Nash puts it, we have to step out of the standard paradigm. If we do so, we cannot ignore Nelson Nash's Infinite Banking Concept (IBC) as first articulated in his book "Becoming Your Own Banker." Individuals interested in Austrian Economics, in particular, will want to pay special attention. I round out the discussion by calling attention to the theoretical importance of capital for the agent and the industry. See below for more of my work where I consistently expand on topics presented here. Thanks for watching and have an excellent day! Venezuelan expat Daniel Di Martino to AOC: ‘Real socialism is what destroyed Venezuela’

One of the biggest myths the new “Democratic Socialists” like to spread is that all examples of socialism, such as and especially Venezuela, were not actual representations of real socialism. They’ve repeated this lie over and over again for the last few months as they ramp up their sales pitch to convince as many Americans as possible that socialism is in our future.
Venezuela expat Daniel Di Martino has several messages for those who are pushing Democratic Socialism, especially Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who has been the poster-child for the socialist movement ever since taking office in January. Throughout this video interview by Stephanie Hamill for the Daily Caller, the young patriot expresses his gratitude for what we have in America and warns people against what the socialists are pushing onto us.

Take a moment and reflect on the breathtaking progress that has occurred in the world due to capitalism. Alexander Hammond observes, “in 1820, 94 percent of the world’s population lived in extreme poverty (less than $1.90 per day adjusted for purchasing power). In 1990 this figure was 34.8 percent, and in 2015, just 9.6 percent.” Perhaps those living in 2219 will wonder how we, in 2019, could live on such meager earnings.
Democratic socialists are tirelessly working to subvert progress. Their policies will destroy the economy and shrink the economic pie. Tribal conflicts, steadily diminishing in the West under capitalism, will rise again to threaten the peace and prosperity of humanity.
Today, some use violence to prevent free speech. We can shudder to think what tribal violence is possible in a future America when citizens are morally and economically impoverished by democratic socialist totalitarian doctrines.

Reviving the American conservative movement

Reviving the American conservative movement

Published on March 5, 2019

In 2016, I abandoned the label, “Conservative.” I didn’t like how it was being represented by those who were claiming its mantle. Ideas that were the exact opposite of what most true conservatives would consider to be conservative were being thrown around by so-called conservatives as being tenets of conservatism. If that last sentence didn’t make much sense, you now know how I felt in 2016.

My mindset changed after the 2016 Republican National Convention. I wanted to do something to redefine conservatism the way I knew it to truly be. I called for the formation of a new conservative party and the response was overwhelming. Over the course of the following several months, things changed. The people I worked with and a majority of those who had responded with interest in a new party chose “Federalist” as the proper moniker. It made sense to me, as proper limited-government federalism that kept powers split properly between the individual, states, and national government was one of the most important components of conservatism. In fact, it’s essentially the foundation of what was once called conservatism.

I made lots of mistakes along the way as we built the “Federalist Party.” Perhaps the biggest mistake was building a party in the first place. Attempting to do in years what others have failed to do with significance over decades was ambitious and possibly a bit foolhardy. But what I didn’t want to happen was to build another faux-party like the Tea Party which empowered a few people to make a lot of money off the angst conservatives were feeling towards a president they hated and representatives who weren’t doing enough to stop him.

This shouldn’t be viewed as a condemnation of the Federalist Party or the Tea Party. Both were built with good intentions and the passion to make things happen, but both were also flawed in their base premise. Building an actual political party takes too long, and in a society that has grown accustomed to having everything on-demand, it’s hard to set goals like running a valid Presidential candidate by 2040. As for the Tea Party, there was no real mission. It was a movement with a direction but no actual destination. Technically, it wasn’t even an “it” – the various iterations and variations were diverse and often competed with each other for attention.

After going from the Republican Party to the Tea Party to the Federalist Party to no party, I now have a much clearer understanding of what the people and the nation really need. We need a revival, one not unlike the church revivals many of us went to in the past. A revival of the American conservative movement may be the only way to pull Republicans back from their happy place in the mushy middle and to guide Libertarians in the direction of consistency within their own ideology. It may be the way for Independents who are sick of the two-party duopoly to have their voices heard instead of being preached at with a sales pitch from both sides. Most importantly, it may be the only path through which the people can establish a playbook that empowers the individual ahead of the city, the city ahead of the state, and the state ahead of the nation in regards to political power.

The people are the power of American government in a Constitutional republic. The representatives who work for us are there to make sure the Constitution is upheld and the people they represent have their interests driving the policies enacted by government bodies.

I am still a Federalist at heart. I am a Tea Party supporter. I even like a few Republicans. None of those things have changed. But now is the time to bring focus to the equation before the 2020 election, and more importantly AFTER the 2020 election. To do this, it’s imperative that we come up with a plan to revive a coordinated, consistent, and Constitution-driven conservative movement that represents what Americans and America needs.

I’ve been talking to several people over the last couple of weeks, hammering out ideas and working towards building a conservative movement that learns from the mistakes of our past and establishes a path forward. If you’re interested in learning more as it comes out, please let me know.

Capitalism vs. Socialism

Capitalism vs. Socialism
Published on March 4, 2019
By DParker

Two videos compare Economic Liberty to Socialistic Slavery with the logical comparison coming out just as expected.
One of the benefits – aside from sheer entertainment value – of having certain socialists as prominent celebrities is that we are finally having debates over which is the better system: Economic Liberty or Socialistic Slavery. The latest PragerU video conducts a direct comparison between the two systems, destroying a few Leftist mythologies along the way such as that the Scandinavian countries are socialist. The presenter makes that point that the Economic Liberty of the free enterprise system places the people in control. While that control under a system of socialistic slavery is in the hands of the power elite.
Mark Levin also made the point on why centrally controlled economies always control people in a recent radio commentary.
The results of this open debate haven’t been favorable to the national socialist Left with a recent poll from NBC News/Wall Street Journal:
And regarding socialism, just 18 percent of all Americans say they view the term positively, versus 50 percent who see it in a negative light.
The numbers for capitalism are almost the exact opposite: 50 percent positive, 19 percent negative.
Note the use of the term Economic Liberty instead of the pejorative Capitalism
Please take note that we on the Pro-Liberty Right will only accept those descriptive words for ourselves that make logical sense. We work to conserve Liberty, thus we are Conservative, and regardless of what the Left would make of the term. We also reject the pejorative ‘Capitalism’ with it’s negative connotations from the Socialist-Left. Instead, we will use the term Economic Liberty or Free Enterprise.
Similarly, it is our belief that we need to push back on the ‘Overton window’ with regard to the words used to label collectivism. As hard it is to believe, there are those who have the mistaken notion that socialism means being ‘social’ or involves ‘social media’ or some other such nonsense in a modern context given that the word is almost 200 years old. The plain fact is that forcible redistribution precepts of socialism or any of its aliases lay claim to the labor of the people, making this fraudulent ideology a form of slavery, thus we use the term Socialistic slavery.
Ben Shapiro eviscerates socialism in the second video
The second video published a few months ago unleashes Pro-Liberty Pit Bull Ben Shapiro on socialism with the predictable results:

The Takeaway
It has been a very curious few years for the parallel issues of gun confiscation and socialistic slavery. They were hidden beneath the surface accompanied by abject denials of their existence, while Influencing Leftist policy initiatives without being referenced openly.
Then the mask dropped almost overnight and leftists everywhere admitted to their obvious existence. Now with these ideological abominations out in the open, they can be debated and decimated as they should have been decades ago. As is the case with these two videos, which was probably why the left kept them under wraps in the first place.

Congress is set to give legally protected status to 30 sexual orientations, including incest. Because of pressure from homosexual groups, Congress has refused to define what is meant by sexual orientation in H.R. 1913, the "Hate Crimes" bill. This means that the 30 different sexual orientations will be federally protected classes.

You may be told this information is incorrect. If so, ask why then did the House Judiciary Committee refuse to define "sexual orientation?"

Israeli scientist denies global warming
Written by Robyn Rosen, Jewish Chronicle

Professor Giora Shaviv

A leading Israeli scientist has renounced the concept of man-made global warming at a lecture given to the British Technion Society, just days before world leaders meet to discuss ways to halt it.
Professor Giora Shaviv, professor of physics at the Technion, claimed that the accepted level of carbon dioxide in the air is wildly exaggerated.
Prof Shaviv said that though for years the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has claimed that an increase in carbon dioxide has led to an increase in temperature, in fact, the reverse is correct.
He argued that the movement of the sun affects temperature, which influences the levels of carbon dioxide, and that these levels have risen and fallen for centuries, even before mankind.
He said: “CO2 is not responsible for heating the earth, the cause is the activity of the sun which we cannot control.
“However we are responsible for our environment on earth, for the future of our grandchildren, and therefore, we should all still act responsibly.”
The lecture was attended by Benny Peiser, director of the Global Warming Policy Foundation, which was set up by former Chancellor of the Exchequer Lord Lawson to analyse global warming policies and its economic implications.
Dr Peiser, who was born in Haifa, said that too much money was being ploughed into climate change research and that politicians were stifling contentious research that opposed the commonly accepted views.
He said: “People talk about saving the world but no one crunches the figures. It has become an obsession and economic burden for many countries.
“There is a hysteria and exaggeration of the issue with people worrying that the end is nigh. People need to calm down. The reality is we haven’t got a clear idea what the climate is doing.
“Part of our agenda is that scientists like Professor Shaviv have to be allowed to research freely and without political pressure.”
